Midday kick off results in a draw

Spectators of this Garforth Junior League game between Amaranth Crossgates FC and Seacroft Colts FC had a real treat this afternoon.

End to end football, goals, scrambles in the goalmouth, crossbars rattling and penalty misses. – this game had it all! Victory could have gone to either team.

Both teams started the game strongly, but Amaranth were in front after a couple of minutes. Seacroft levelled with a great play and goal.

Seacroft was awarded a penalty which resulted in a great save and clearance.

Seacroft went in front in the second half from an own goal.

Jack S and Dylan B made some nice passes forward which resulted in Dylan levelling the game with a good finish.

There was still a chance at the end for both teams to grab a winner but Sadly it was not to be – despite a couple of goalmouth scrambles.

Both keepers played vital parts with fantastic saves to keep the game level.

A great game to watch and play in and the boys did the Amaranth proud with their attitude and commitment. Well done.
