Please can all members be aware of the following;

Further to the news that the Country will enter a new lock-down from 5th November to 2nd December, the club can confirm the following points;

  • Until further guidance is issued by the Government, the impact on grassroots football remains unknown.
  • Amaranth will follow the guidance that is subsequently provided by West Riding County FA.
  • We recognise the positive impact that sports can have on players and their families. Our position is that if we are allowed and can play football in a safe way, we will endeavour to do so.
  • Some leagues, including Garforth Junior Football League (where most of our junior teams play) have cancelled all fixtures until 10th January 2021. This means that no GJFL league games will be played but it may be possible to arrange friendlies and training. Other leagues are yet to confirm.
  • It is assumed that our winter training venues will be forced to close for the November lock-down from 5th November. If you are due to train before lock-down starts, please speak to your team manager.
  • The club has decided that November subs will NOT be collected. You do not need to take any action and Direct Debits should not be cancelled. This is in recognition that we will not be able to provide winter training facilities in November due to lock-down.

We appreciate that the COVID crisis is impacting many people in many different ways and Amaranth will do everything we can to support our members and our community throughout.

We are encouraging all of our teams to create remote 'zoom' meetings in the coming weeks to discuss the current situation as well as other club issues. Your manager will be in touch about this. If you are invited to a session, please make every effort to attend.
