COVID Secure Guidelines

All players, parents, spectators and visitors to the club MUST read the following before participating in training or matches

In response to the current Coronavirus pandemic, Amaranth Football Club are implementing a number of procedures to ensure we are compliant with the latest Government advice and adhering to the guidelines issued by the FA on the return of Grassroots football.

The Advice from the FA can be viewed on the West Riding County FA’s website which can be found on the link below. All participants, parents and spectators MUST read these guidelines.

We would ask everyone to pay particular focus on the following;

As a Player

  • You MUST NOT participate if you or members of your household are displaying symptoms or are current suffering from COVID-19. You should follow Government advice on self-isolation before returning to the club.
  • You should arrive changed and ready for matches. Changing rooms will NOT be available
  • You should avoid congregating in groups with other players before, during and after the game. This includes warming up and any team talks. Social distancing should be observed.
  • You should bring your own equipment such as water bottles and hand sanitiser. You should avoid touching other equipment.
  • You should sanitise your hands before, during and after the game.
  • You should leave immediately following the game.
  • You should avoid shouting and avoid group goal celebrations
  • You must complete an online form before your participate in training or match activities confirming you have read and understand these guidelines.

NOTE: Parents of junior players should ensure players are aware of these guidelines

All visitors to the club

  • You MUST NOT participate if you or members of your household are displaying symptoms or are current suffering from COVID-19. You should follow Government advice on self-isolation before returning to the club.
  • You are discouraged from using public transport however if this cannot be avoided, you should following Government guidelines regarding the use of face masks.
  • You should avoid car sharing with members of another household. Where this cannot be avoided, you will be expected to form a ‘bubble’ with one other household.
  • On arrival at the club, you should maintain social distancing at all times
  • You should make efforts not to congregate in high traffic areas such as in the car park or in front of the clubhouse.
  • At pitch side you can standing in groups of up to six, two meters apart from other groups. You should not swap and change groups in the same day.
  • The clubhouse will remain closed. Where refreshments are sold, this will be in disposable equipment and should be discarded by yourself and not left for others to handle.
  • You should arrive shortly before the event and leave promptly afterwards.
  • The toilets will be open but you will be expected to sanitise your hands before entering, avoid crossing with others in the corridor and each toilet has a maximum occupancy of TWO. If there are more than two people in the toilet, you should wait outside for the area to clear.
  • Face coverings are encouraged, especially when entering the clubhouse to use the toilets.
