Amaranth is preparing for a safe return of Grassroots football

With the route out of the latest COVID lockdown now becoming clearer, Amaranth are making plans for the return of grassroots football.

Whilst all dates are subject to further review by the UK Government, the latest assumptions are that grassroots football can return from Monday 29th March 2021. Assuming nothing else changes, and both the Football Association and County FA approve these plans, we should get back to outdoor sports from this date.

We are already working with all of our Amaranth Teams to reintroduce training immediately, and your team manager will be in touch in the coming weeks with further information.

The various leagues are also putting plans in place for league matches, although the first weekend back is Easter when games do not get planned, therefore we are hoping to get a resumption of matches for the weekend of 10th and 11th April.

The leagues and FA are also looking to extend the season into June, a month where football is not usually played at grassroots level. This is an approach that Amaranth fully supports.

Once we can restart training and matches, it is likely that COVID secure rules will apply. Please ensure you are familiar with all guidelines provided and strictly adhere to them for the safety and well being of our players, families, club officials and opponents.
