Following the confirmation that West Yorkshire will move into Tier 3 from Monday 2nd November, we summarise how this will impact on Amaranth

The Government has now confirmed that West Yorkshire will move into Tier 3 of lock down from Monday 2nd November 2020;

West Riding County FA have confirmed that games can continue at Grassroots levels however this is a timely reminder of the need to ensure that anyone attending games or training MUST observe social distancing guidelines. Please ensure you are aware and have considered the following;

You MUST NOT attend the club or training if you are displaying any COVID symptoms.
You MUST NOT attend the club or training if you are isolating, either due to symptoms or under instruction from the NHS or Government guidelines.
If you attending a game or training, you should avoid car sharing with anyone that is not from your household. If you are car sharing at any time, it is advised to sit in the rear of a vehicle, wear face masks and travel with the windows open.

At the ground;

  • The rule of six applies. You should not gather in groups of more than six people, and you should not switch groups.
  • You should ensure you remain at least 2 meters from others, even those in your group.
  • The clubhouse remains closed. If using the toilets, face masks must be worn and no more than two people in the toilet at a time. Wait outside until the toilets become clear.
  • Do not shout at pitch side.
  • Do not congregate after the match. You should leave promptly.

For Players;

  • Sanitise your hands before the game. The coaches will sanitise the equipment frequently
  • Do not celebrate goals with touching/hugging etc. An elbow touch should be adopted.
  • Do not shout
  • Do not gather as a team for team talks. Gather in a socially distanced way.

We all have a responsibility to keep each other safe. If you spot people failing to adhere to these guidelines, please politely remind them or speak to a club official.

Lock down is impacting on us all, but by following the guidelines, we'll be able to keep football going which is a little bit of relief for us all. Please ensure you are doing your bit. If you refuse to follow these guidelines, Amaranth will take action which could include asking you not to attend training or matches.

Finally, the COVID crisis has affected many people financially. If you are adversely affected and are worried ab out paying your monthly subs, please speak to your team manager. Please do not let the crisis be a reason for a player not being able to play football.
